Video sales module [PrestaShop 1.6] [PrestaShop 1.7]

The PrestaShop Video Sales module is used to sell videos, courses, the module offers 3 modes of operation:

1) Integration with paid vimeo service (provides support for most devices and protection against unauthorized sharing). Vimeo is the suggested option.

2) Standard embedding of unlisted videos from Youtube (An unlisted video on the platform means that the video is only available to people who have received a direct link to it or are embedded on the page. People who do not have a direct link or cannot see the embedded video will not be able to view it This means that the video is not available to the public, but only to a selected group of people). Due to the policy of youtube, it is impossible to hide the link to such a video. The client will be able to forward it.

3) Using the jquery.mb.YTPlayer library, it has a simple protection against sharing videos (no support for apple devices).

Work option 2,3 is very similar:
You upload your course to YouTube with limited visibility as "unlisted". Your customer gets access to the video in your store after purchase. The player settings remove the YouTube logo and the ability to go directly to the video. The protection is quite simple and makes it difficult to access videos without authorization, but remember that it is not 100% secure.

We can attach several videos to one virtual product. The customer has access to the films for a certain period of time, e.g. 365 days.

In the configuration, we define the order statuses for which the video is available to the customer.
We can automatically change the status to another right after the customer watches the video. If you cancel your order, the attached video is automatically removed from your account.

In the case of companies that start their adventure with video sales, we need a place to store videos. Sometimes server costs can be substantial. Under heavy load your server may be too weak. By sharing videos on youtube, you don't care about the cost of maintaining them - you do it completely free.
